Posted July 21, 2021. @KhaderKh Nope. it's outputting 5V at 0.9A aka 4.5W - most never phone chargers output 5v at 3A aka 15W. Your motherboard on the other hand may have this feature, when using the ports on the back on the I/O shield. It has a specific usb port you have to connect to your computer in order for the USB hub to be seen by the computer. Yeah, I think I missed the step. It is easy to do. Took me a bit to figure this monitor out. You have to connect the monitor to one of your laptops' usb ports through a cable that looks like the one linked below.
Tried reinstalling driver, generic. System doesn't detect any other monitor if I try that. There are historical posts that this has long been an issue for Dell laptops and a usb-c connection. Tried same connection on a Dell monitor with same issue. Tried with different XPS 9550 and worked fine, same cable. Does work as it should with Usb-c to HDMI.
Press the Windows key and X simultaneously to get the device manager window. Click on “Display adapters” to expand the list of adapters. Right-click on your graphics adapter and click on “Properties”. Once the properties window is open, click on the “Driver” tab and locate “Roll back driver”.
I tried different cables, different ports, and I even had a usb-a to usb-c adapter, which also didn't work. My mouse and keyboard would function from the ports in the back, but like hell if the monitor would be detected by this app. What DID work was this little external powered usb 3.0 hub. That's it. Instantly detected and running smooth.
Attempts to fix: Reinstalled the NVIDIA drives with a clean install. As there is a USB PPC driver in these. No luck. Removed the device from the device manager and shutdown. Then down a power reset by holding the power button down for 60 seconds while the power cable is disconnected.

Here’s LG support confirming it to me: “Regarding your query, we’ve further checked the detailed specifications of the unit and it appears that USB-A to a 5A wall plug connection in order to power the USB downstream is not supported by this certain monitor. In order to power on the USB downstream you need to USB A-B to the PC. Thank you
It wouldn't allow your system to charge from the display if the display provides power for that purpose, and it also wouldn't create a USB data path in order to allow you to use any USB ports built into the display (although those would be limited to USB 2.0 speeds with your system since you're dealing with a 4K 60 Hz display, and in order for
I am using a UHD monitor but when I connect USB-C or DP(display port), the max resolution is not supported. You have to make sure that your PC graphics card’s display port or USB-C output condition meets the 4K(3840x2160ďĽ 60Hz) spec of your monitor. You have to activate the DisplayPort 1.2 menu before you can use 4K(3840x2160ďĽ 60Hz). Try this
Dec 4, 2020. #1. Hi all, I recently upgraded to a 3070. I uninstalled my 1070 drivers, shut down, plugged in the new 3070 and booted windows. When I first plugged it in with the displayport it was working, booted up and went into windows. I installed the drivers through Geforce experience and when it was completed the screen went black.
The monitor connected to the HDMI port would sporadically lose signal, or not find signal at all. I'd have to turn the monitor off then on, sometimes it would work. Yesterday it didn't work at all thru the HDMI port. I tried the other monitor, the one connected to the adapter, and connected directly thru the HDMI port. No signal.
Update Your Display Driver. An outdated display driver can also lead you to have problems with the DisplayPort connection. Try updating your display driver to see if this resolves the problem. Press Win + R and type in devmgmt.msc to launch the Device Manager. Expand Display adapters and select the display driver.
LG 27GN950-B USB HUB Issue. I don't quite understand why this doesn't work. I have an external laptop connected via HDMI to the monitor but my wireless keyboard and mouse won't work through the USB hub. I have tried every USB port on my PC and even a different USB-B to A cable and nothing works. Keyboard/mouse works fine on the PC itself.
