Play the game yourself and come to your own decision but the general consensus is that while its an enjoyable game it falls short compared to the previous entries in the franchise. JBPBRC • 8 yr. ago. no boss battles that aren't tank battles. I mean, there ARE boss battles that don't involve tanks.
Joker is one of the best parts of Arkham Knight and the series as a whole. He is there to show the ever present thin line that Bruce/Batman dare to cross. Even with Joker dead, the story makes you question if one can exist without the other, and shows the parallels between the two characters. Joker is still the villain in the game, even when dead.

Years later, I repurchased Asylum and City on GOG, and the games, with the added 60fps framerate and higher resolution, are much more fun to play. Arkham Asylum is a very fun self-contained Batman story, and is both excellent for newcomers to the adventures of the caped crusader and fans alike. Combat is simple and fun, exploration for Riddler
Def recommend. I would call it a definite buy if you like a mix of brawling, stealth and puzzles. It's got some metroidvania style level design and one of the best interpretations of batman anywhere. I'd really help if you like Batman, but the Arkham games are a masterpiece.
Both are excellent, really comes down to personal preference. Arkham Knight is probably the better game in terms of overall design, story, presentationbut it's built on two other games. SoM is far more original, brutally violent, and the nemesis system really is as good as everyone says it is. 2.
1: Arkham Asylum Incredible. This game was a thrill to play. The titans felt a little repetitive but the random goons they threw in with them kept me on my toes the entire fight. I loved the settings, with the prison itself, the botanical gardens, and the mansion.
Arkham Knight has pretty decent tutorial, if I remember correctly. Really stupid to compare the Catwoman dlc from City when that one is actually integrated into the main story. The Harley dlc is separate, like most dlc. I mean the way Knight handled dlc episodes was just awful tbh except obviously Batgirl one.
Not sure if I should ask here, but the performance in Arkham Knight was really bad, especially in driving missions. I have all NVIDIA options turned off, set the settings to Low, and even lowered the resolution to 1600x900 and then 1366x768, and still the game performs badly. The settings menu showed that I only used 1,98 GB of 4 GB VRAM.
Arkham asylum is a classic and a masterpiece among superhero games. The small, enclosed environment of the asylum has this rich atmosphere, great pacing, memorable level design and a refreshing simplicity. Asylum just has this really special feel to it, and makes for such a memorable, replayable experience.
You use battle mode when you engage the Arkham Knight’s tanks. Battle mode is fluid and doesn’t hinder your movement while you are sliding left and right to avoid shots from the enemy tanks. Dual combat is another new addition to the game. Some combat sections allow Batman to fight with his allies to take down gangs.
Arkham Knight. Fear Toxin allows Batman's Joker personality from the infection to manifest as hallucinations. To his horror, he found Scarecrow 's new strain of Fear Toxin could exaggerate the infection to the point of causing hallucinations. In Batman's case a vivid hallucination of Joker appeared that represented the embodiment of his worst

The Batman Arkham Trilogy along with Origins are some of my all time favorite games, nailed the feeling of being Batman, the atmosphere, gameplay, story all top notch, Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill stole the show as Batman and Joker, it felt like reliving the animated series 🦇
It's because it's overused. I love it but even I have to agree on this. We lost so many boss fights because of the Batmobile. If they took away half of the unnecessary fights and had at least two more proper boss fights. I would love it even more. The animations for the Batmobile are beautiful anyway. 204.
